Hey everyone,
Just a few days ago I began researching how to make money on the internet. Then, that night my wife was watching the news which claimed that rising gas prices have forced some people to seek ways to make money on the internet.
At first, I began to cuss and swear on the inside, until a little light bulb went off. If everyone is looking for ways to make money on the net, what better way to get hits for a blog than to begin writing about my experiences looking for ways to make money on the net?
That way, not only will my blog get hits but I will also be helping others out as well.
Long story short, I have no idea what's going on. I started a blog, which I'll post a link to below.
Do I have this straight?
1. Start a blog. 2. Popularize blog. 3. Blog gets a lot of hits. 4. Sign up to a site like PayPerPost.com and begin advertising. 5. Get money.
?
I'd appreciate any advice. Also, if anyone does give me advice please post the link to your blog. I'll give you credit on my blog and link to your blog from my blog.
Thanks!

Great blog Kenny! Thanks for sharing.. I just read your blogging post. What actually happens is that people bid at google adwords on a per click basis for certain keywords and you get a portion of that money.
For instance lets say I bid .50 per click for the keywords "paid survey". If my ad showed up on your blog and someone clicked it, you might get .10 for that click. I hope Im explaining it okay, it's not an exact science but that's the gist of how it works. In other words, no one has to buy anything in order for you to make money with adsense.

Hi, Kenny: I just clicked on your blog link and it's not there! Just a note saying something like it's not active, or something like that. I see it is a Blogger.com blog (mine is, too, but mine is customized). If you were trying to monetize your blog with AdSense, affiliate links or other forms of monetization, Blogger.com might have intentionally removed it because that sometimes goes against their policies. What I did to avoid that problem is move my blog to my own domain - www.StarrBizz.com - When you host your blog (even Blogger.com blogs) on your own domain, as I am doing, Blogger.com will not remove it, even if your content does not meet with their policies. I'm not sure how the PPP works. I have blogs but have never tried it. I've heard that you have to have had your blog for over a month or 2 and have to post on it atleast 3 or 4 x's a week to qualify with them to make money. But im not 100% sure on it though.

There is nothing wrong with monetizing your Blogger.com blog as it's not against Blogger's TOS. In other words, you can monetize your blog with Adsense, affiliate programs, etc. Depending on which pay to blog company you deal with some require X amount of months, X amount of traffic, own domain etc. You just have to read each company's requirements before submitting your blog for approval. If you were trying to monetize your blog with AdSense, affiliate links or other forms of monetization, Blogger.com might have intentionally removed it because that sometimes goes against their policies.

Thanks for the info I just started a blog on blogger and am looking into buying my own domain. I wondered if that helped to keep them from shutting you down. I also have a wordpress blog, but it is self hosted and I own the domain. However, it is hard to manage as I don't know how to use coding. So, Blogger is easier to set up and work with. I'm clueless in the techy part of sites, coding especially (php, css,) and even html. I have tried, but can't seem to catch on. My wordpress blog is at www.moonbowchaser.com. It's a chasing your dream blog. It's has lots of self- improvement tips. Sonni
