That's one of the things I have decided to work on as well. I was realizing the other day that even with Bill being laid off and my making about 1/2 in tips what I normally do at the golf course because of the winter season that we have still done okay.. So starting this spring I have decided that as far as my tips are concerned anytime I make over $50 a day the extra is going into a savings acct. I also want to take part of his overtime earnings and put into a savings account so next winter won't be so tough. We are formulating plans here! When we start the challenge it will be piece of cake~

I didn't know you worked at a GC! I did that for 4 years. It was the best job when I was single. I did the same thing ... I made so much money during the spring and summer that I didn't budget for winter and that's when I got into debt at 20  That sounds like a great plan! I made $120 on Ebay this week!!! All is going into my savings to hit that 1K. My goal is the end of FEb (maybe I already mentioned that) .... every little bit is progress. Oh, and I made $50 with my first mystery shop. You are doing great! I only work at the golf course on weekends.. I have been there part time for almost 6 years now so I get to choose when I work.. usually during the winters I will work a lot of the Christmas parties and I also do a lot of the weddings because they are fun.. I like the free golf mostly!

So you golf huh? My DH has been trying to get me to learn but it SO frustrating. Hats off to you ... golf is such a difficult sport to learn. I am looking forward to the Spring Challenge! |

I love golfing.. we are SOOOO anxious to get out.. We had a few nice days here so we had planned on going out Monday but Katie was sick, then yesterday Bill was sick.. it's been going around.. So I imagine either today will be too cold or it will be my turn to be sick.. haha
I was always one of those who thought it was a silly sport.. chase a little ball around a golf course? Once I tried it I found out it was extremely challenging and I was hooked..
