I am a doctoral student in Clincial Psychology at John F. Kennedy University conducting research on the female gamblers' experiences while gambling on the Internet, female gambler's beliefs, attitudes, and feelings around gambling, and how the Internet impacts their gambling behavior. I would like to talk to female gamblers who self-identify as problem gamblers, between the ages of 25-65, who are currently participating in Internet gambling, or those who have particiapted in Internet gambling within the past year. This study will contibute to a better understanding of how the Internet influences womens' gamblig behavior- (the time and money spent at gambling), inform better treatment programs on how to better meet the needs of internet gamblers, and examine how attitudes and beliefs around gambling contribute to the decision to gamble on the Internet. Participants will complete a short survey and answer interview questions about their beliefs and attitudes on gambling and their experiences gambling on the Internet. The interview will take approxiamety 1 1/2-2 hours and will be conducted on the phone or in person. All information provided is confidential. Each pariticiant will be paid $25.00.
