ROFLMAO!! SPANKwire? LOL!
I have tears... Seriously. TEARS!
Maybe I do need to get out more...
ALTHOUGH. I HAVE watched the documentary about the bunny ranch. Them chicks are CRAZY. But skinimax is the worst I 'channel' I get. I dont need 'beautiful woman' competition.
But the train thing is true. It was one of the earmarks that we were supposed to be able to view on the 'net for 5 days before it was voted on.... Gee... wonder why we didnt get to see that?? tsk tsk.
As far as them saying it was going to the bunny ranch, I cant say one way or the other. I guess I missed it that morning.

personally, i think the bullet train to vegas is a worthy project.
i would rather Congress authorize it directly, instead of through the earmark process.
but, look, this isn't a 'bridge to nowhere'
The Interstate between LA and Las Vegas has one of the highest fatality rates of any in the nation. Last year I heard it was the number one deadliest section of interstate.
Part of the reason is it's only 2 lanes in each direction and in addition to the huge volume of traffic from LA and San Diego, it is very, very heavily used by semi-trucks. Nearly every day there are thousands of cars sitting in gridlock caused by anything from the least fender bender to a massive pile up. The gridlock goes for miles upon miles.
Another problem is that for hundreds of miles there are no hospitals or any sort of medical facilities whatsoever. When you crash they call the nearby prison and they send a crew of honor prisoners trained in first aid to sit with you until an ambulance arrives from some hundred-something miles away.
I think getting people off the road is a good idea. Especially when it's one of the busiest, most dangerous section of interstate in the country.
So what if it makes it easier to get to the whore house, too?
Win-win.

Boy, what happene to this thred when I wasn't looking.
Louis, your still wrong about the train. THere is as much chance (more really) that if they do the train it will be in the north might even go through Rep Boyner's district.
So you are not 100% male if you don't go for 'adult entertainment', that is an interesting tidbit.
I never heard of red what ever, but thanks for the info.
And most thinking people know that the legalized protitution is a draw, though it is not nearly the biggest money maker, golf beats them out pretty handily. But the highroad to hookers is one of the reasons we as a state are debating taxing the industry (which the hooker want).
THe train Harry loves is a old tourist choo choo he would like to renivate like the Grand Canyon Exrpess train. I don't know all the details.
I've actually never met anyone who has been to the bunny ranch, but I will ask around for you, I know they are having specials and coupons.
Tara, good job, there have been many studies, some very reputable, interesting stuff.

wow, have i ever changed my mind on this issue!
i found out it isn't a train to nowhere, but it IS a train FROM nowhere.
instead of LA to Las Vegas, the proposed route is Victorville to Las Vegas.
that's just STUPID! i would have to drive half way to Las Vegas, park my car, load my stuff onto a train, then arrive in Vegas without a car. if you add the cost of renting a car for several days on to the cost of a rail ticket, the train will cost WAY more than driving and be a lot more inconvenient.
idiots!
