I had to run by friends house to get her dd's charger after picking up the girls.. stepped on the scale.. It said I weigh the same as when I started! Now remember a week ago it said I had lost 10 lbs!?
Now I realize that it's the middle of the day, I've been eating... heading into pms (bloating) time and the scale is sitting in the living room with 4 kids running around.. lol
Im hoping one of the kids was playing with it and it wasn't set at zero (I didn't check).
I KNOW all the logical reasons but then the bad stuff is rearing its head "if I've been starving for three weeks, walking, haven't had a pepsi in a week!, and I still haven't lost anything, whats the point"
Im SO trying not to let those thoughts run through my head but I was really hoping and expecting to see at least another 2lb loss.
Now on the upside.. I also KNOW that my clothes are fitting better, I feel better and just yesterday I told myself that I would be happy when someone besides me noticed. Well today I went to the golf course and some friends were there that I haven't seen in 3 mos. She saw me walking up and said "oh my gosh you look great~! You've been losing weight!"..
So to make it short... today has been VERY up and down.

I kept telling myself that muscle weights more than fat when that happened to me in the beginning. It just takes some time sometimes. You may be just getting your metabolism straight right now. I had to completely reset mine because I wasn't eating right before I started walking and that was why I wasn't losing. I have a bad habit of not eating throughout the day and only having one meal a day. Once I got my metabolism straight then the lbs started coming off.
You'll do it. Don't give up!! ;D

Connie, Weigh yourself on ONE scale. They just are not all calibrated the same. I own a home scale. I do not weigh myself on any other scale. Don't cry. The way our clothes fit says a lot. I am wearing clothes right now that for the life of me I don't know why I kept LOL. I truly believed I'd never fit in them again. Think LONG TERM. One pound per week coming off is very "normal". So think 4 months down the line. It's really possible to lose 15 more pounds in the next 4 months That's worth working for.

It was the same scale I used last time. I haven't bought one of my own because I don't want to obsess and get discouraged but I will buy myself one this week. Trying to think long term I would just expect that by decreasing calories by around 2000 a day AND excersising there would be an initial big drop and then a leveling out.

What fergui said is really important. You have to eat breakfast each morning to start your metabolism. I eat 3 normal sized meals but some people say to eat 5 smaller meals. I think both work to keep your metabolism going throughout the day. Exercise of course helps with this.

Well I can call off the pity party... I weighed myself again today on the same scale but I had more time to actually LOOK at what it said... I read it wrong yesterday.. whew... I am actually down 14 lbs so I am now back to where I was when I was nine mos pregnant with miss katie.. LOL... Becca the one thing that has amazed me is that I think I am actually eating more now than I was before. I never used to eat breakfast.. now I eat breakfast everyday.. the difference is that I am eating healthier and lower calorie. Sometimes I eat bizarre breakfasts, spaghetti, tacos, today and yesterday chef salads... most of the time I do eat cereal but sometimes I need something more filling. Yesterday I bought some blackberries to throw in my cereal.. yummy!

LOL my dad told me he had pizza the other morning for breakfast and I got grossed out. I eat bagels, english muffins, cereal..and that's about it. If we go out though I will add in eggs, hash browns, etc.
NO PIZZA FOR BREAKFAST FOR ME.

Oh becca....pizza is the BEST breakfast, but only if it's cold and left over. LOL Oh yeah! You are missing out if you don't have cold pizza for breakfast.. I usually DO refrigerate the leftover pizza but have a friend who insists it has to sit out all night to be really good.. lol

I'm pretty strict about putting food away. If it's been sitting out too long, I toss it.
Many many many people say "oh I'm not feeling great" or "oh I've got a bit of a stomach ache". Very often it's the result of germs in food. I just don't want those germs in my body. I refrigerate everything, put it away when we're supposed to put it away etc.

I don't want to take the change.. darn growing up anyway!

You are doing great. The way your clothes are fitting, show you how well you are doing. Try taking fish oil after you eat. It helps w/ the metabolism.
