By first grade, I was learning to cook by helping my mother in the kitchen. My mother was taught by Chinese chefs, and her Chinese food was excellent. I have had many opportunities to cook with trained chefs, soaking up as much knowledge as I could. However, I would not compare my knowledge of cooking against any of them, as they do it on a daily basis and have gone to school for it. For Kate to belittle Jon once again is very sad. Why doesn't he cowboy up and ask her to write a computer program or setup a network, and then belittle her when she can't do it? Because all the women would say he was being abusive - that's why! Verbal abuse can be a two-way street, and go either way. He just needs to tell her to shush every now and then, because she does it to him all the time.

I saw the preview to next week's episode tonight. Kate says they have a big announcement to make. That they're making some big life changes blah blah blah. Translation: After all of the exposure and the inability to hide the fact that we've been separated for a while now, we've decided to actually make an episode about it in hopes of pulling in as many viewers as the season premiere. We can't figure out how people found out. It couldn't have had anything to do with the fact that we let cameras into our lives 24/7. Disclaimer: The preceding was an unofficial statement from Kate. Jon would have said something, but Kate told him to shut up, she'd do all the talking.

Scumbags run around saying they'd just wish people would stop talking about them, then offer up a big tease just for ratings...just to get everyone talking about them again. Maybe they felt some of the hype was wearing off.

I was watching TV guide last night because I couldn't find anything to watch and they had their "Jon & Kate ~ Is it to late?" on. They were talking on how TLC has ordered 40 more episodes and at $75,000.00 per episode, well you can figure out why she wants the show to continue. Then they showed her brother and sister in law and they both said she was getting out of hand and the right authorities should start stepping in and take care of the kids. They both said something has to be done.
Then they showed the house and the grounds (23 acres) and said the house has 6,200 sq ft and (which we all knew cost over 1.3 million). Then they said she, Kate, went to Jon with a contract letting him date and go and do and live where ever he wanted as long as he would show up for taping of the episodes. Apparently he signed it. They had a couple of attorneys on there and they spoke about the kids and said their observations were like a normal families but it was not a normal family. But that they both loved the kids and would do anything to protect the kids. Then they talked about the new episode on Monday. I swore that I wasn't going to watch it anymore but I know I will watch it again Monday to see what the big hoopla is. Will they or won't they.

I deleted my timer for it. I'll catch up on the gossip online. I refuse to contribute to their ratings.

For some reason I keep watching. But I am losing interest quick so I don't think it'll be long. They're only doing this 1 hour special with the big announcement for ratings, plain & simple. Viewership dropped drastically after the season premiere and they want to regain what they had.
I heard on one show this morning that Jon is possibly looking at a 1 bedroom apt. in NYC. He's going to end up making himself look even worse. A majority of the sentiment that I read on the internet come from those who feel sorry for him because Kate is so controlling & condescending. But he goes off and does something that shows he's not thinking of the kids (like a 1 bedroom NY apt.) the media, and America, is going to tear him apart.

People magazine has already announced what the "big announcement" is.
What I don't get is TLC has signed up for 40 more episodes (not sure if that includes what already aired this season) but that's 2 seasons worth of shows. Do they seriously think they can stretch this garbage out? I guess since they've already contracted for that many, whether they do them or not, Jon & Kate get paid (at least partially if they don't air).
GO AWAY!!

sad, sad, sad. Jon is looking into a small apt. His car isn't big enough for 2 kids let alone 8.
How sad that it turned out this way.

That is exactly where he is making himself look very badly in all of this. As if he's not thinking of the kids.
But I think he's having a bit of an identity crisis. Married young, unexpectedly a father of 8 by age 27, beaten up mentally & emotionally by Kate throughout their marriage. I'm sure it took a tole on him. I think he's trying to live a little bit of his youth with all this new money.
He admitted tonight that he's always sat back while Kate got her way, but he's tired of it and wants to stick up for himself.
I think someone has coached Kate quite well on what to say during the taping of tonight's show. Either her lawyer or publicist, or maybe both. She made sure to make it all about the kids, to make it look like Jon's at fault, he's always angry & snaps at her now, that she didn't want this, etc. That woman needs to take a long hard look in the mirror.
But Jon better get it together. He looks calm, cool & collected...like he's ready for the split. But he needs to concentrate on the kids.
I just don't see how this show can go on being entertaining. Everything done separately. When they are together, you can feel the tension through the TV. It's ridiculous.

So there was the Spousal Unit, feeling bad for Kate and blaming the evil Jon for all their troubles. I really was doing my best to ignore the whole thing and concentrate on the computer, but she kept making comments forcing me to pay attention. So I finally told her that if she ever treated me the way that Kate treated Jon the entire time the series has been on, we wouldn't be married...period! And Kate still has the nerve to say everything she's done has been for the kids, but then turns around and says that there are times that she won't be able to be with them because of her other commitments? Hmmm... very reminiscent of leaving her leaving her children when they had the flu, in search of more ratings! It is evident that her book signings and TV appearances (she will probably try to be on everything to squeeze as much publicity/money out of this as she can) are more important than her children. Then she says that some of her biggest concerns are that she is now going to be considered a failure and a statistic of a failed marriage. But she did say that she "did not want to do this alone". Again, hmmm... Maybe she's just preparing the public for her bodyguard?

Well it looks like she won't be getting her way much longer. From what I understand the show has basically been cancelled since the announcement that they will be seperating. I just don't like the woman. Her whole new look is too "Posh". Her whole attitude is selfish and uncaring in my opinion.

From what I read, TLC has put the show on hiatus until August while they sort things out.
In a statement from TLC, they said:
"TLC continues to support the Gosselin family and will work closely with them to determine the best way to continue to tell their story as they navigate through this difficult time," the statement read.
Seriously, are you (TLC) truly "telling their story" anymore? You pay to put them in situations that make for a good episode. That is no longer telling their story...that is fabricating their lives for ratings.

There is another family with a bunch of kids? I really think I should have had a few more just so I could have a show too!
